Task Forces & Community Engagement

Marin County’s Safe Routes to Schools (SR2S) program is built upon active and frequent engagement with the community surrounding each participating school.

Safety and infrastructure concerns are addressed both through a Task Force for each participating school and the local municipality’s Municipal Staff, Public Works, and Public Safety agencies.

Neighborhood residents are encouraged to contact the SR2S team if they see a safety concern or have a suggestion for infrastructure improvement.

SR2S engages the community where appropriate during grant requests and funding cycles to involve all community stakeholders.
