Gear Up for Bike to School Day on May 12

“Nothing compares to the simple pleasure of riding a bike.” – John F Kennedy

To spread the JOY, Marin families are encouraged to strap on their helmets and use their pedal power for National Bike 2 School Day on May 12th.

All elementary students are also invited to WALK, SCOOTER, or PARK AND WALK partway to school. What’s good for you is good for the earth too.

Middle school students who bike to school can enter a raffle drawing for a $50.00 gift card.

Marin Bike Hero Award! NOMINATIONS NOW OPEN!

Did you know that 40% of car trips are two miles or less?  Biking 2 miles takes just 14 minutes!  So, Let’s Bike 2 It!


The annual BIKE HERO AWARD nominations are now open until May 31, 2021.  

A Bike Hero is a GREAT “ROLL” MODEL!

A Bike Hero is any student who gets up early to ride regularly, inspires others to bike, eagerly rides as a passenger on a cargo bike, obeys all rules of the road, and has FUN biking.   Two Marin County elementary and middle school students will be selected to win a $50.00 gift card to a store of choice.
